So what is Colour of Ivy? It's a massive graphic novel of epic proportions, and if (to quote John Lennon) life is what happens while you're busy making other plans, this has been, and still is, my main other plan. What’s it all about? That's a secret, I'm afraid, and one that won't be revealed for quite some time. But to say the truth, if you've been reading Annyseed, you can probably guess that it veers towards the dark fantasy fairy tale with a bit of magic thrown in for good measure archetype. I started imagining it back in 1996 and finished tying the plot together properly in 2001, wrote the script over a few years, finishing it in 2007. Then I started Annyseed, which seemed less daunting. I've been doing concept art for it over the past year and will be laying out the pages very soon. Like I said, it's going to be a long time coming, but I'm hoping to get it out before the end of this decade. :) What ever happened to the good old days of telling stories by the fire, huh? Stu |
